There’s a ton of great ways to give back to the community this week.

Let’s start with everyone’s favorite furry friends, animals. There are a lot of ways to help the work of the great animal charities in the area. The easiest is just sending an email. Check out my Instant Karma Post to find out how you can help the ASPCA and local animal groups by sending an email!

Volunteering Opportunities in Pinellas County

Mutt Strut for the Humane Society of Pinellas County.Saturday March 8th. 9AM. Honeymoon Island State Park. Come alone or bring your dog in this walkathon to raise funds for the Humane Society.

The Walk to Cure Diabetes for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Tampa Bay. Saturday March 8th. 8AM. Ft. De Soto State Park. Collect donations and walk yourself, or donate your time to help the event run smoothly

Volunteer Opportunities in Hillsborough County
Tour dr Cure for the American Diabetes Association. Sunday March 9th. 6AM-4PM (4 hour volunteer shifts). Along the Veterans Expressway in Tampa. The American Diabetes Association is looking for people to help support the cyclists who are riding to raise money for diabetes research. Many opportunities available throughout the day.

Brides Against Breast Cancer. March 13-15. 9:30AM-9PM. Tampa Westshore Mariott. This is a great opportunity for those who love weddings or have retail experience. This unusual fundraiser allows women to shop for wedding dresses with the proceeds helping fight breast cancer. They need 30 volunteers to help with everything from unloading the dresses to helping zip gowns up and helping the brides find their perfect dress.
